San Telmo is one of Buenos Aires oldest neighborhoods. Narrow cobble stone streets and historic Plaza Dorrego are lined with charming colonial residences, antique stores, Tango houses, and little traditional restaurants called "bodegones". Brimming with local color, San Telmo is the place to be on Sunday when the streets fill with artists selling their handmade goods and talented street performers turn nearly every intersection into a theater-in-the-round Tango show. San Telmo is adjacent to Centro. Other neighborhoods are easily accessible via subway and public buses.
